The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Board of Trade of Thailand (BOT), is set to host STYLE Bangkok 2025, the premier trade fair for premium-quality lifestyle and fashion products. The event will take place from 2–6 April 2025 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok.
At the press conference held today (7 March 2025) at the Ministry of Commerce, Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, and Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand, jointly announced details of STYLE Bangkok 2025. They were joined by representatives from key industry associations, namely, Dr. Nauvarat Songswaddichai, President of the Thai Leathergoods Association and Managing Director of Ring Co., Ltd., and Mr. Amonthep Kachanonda, President of the Design & Objects Association (D&O) and Founder & Design Director of Amo Arte; in a panel discussion on ‘STYLE Bangkok: An International Trade Fair Shaping the Future of Thailand’s Lifestyle & Fashion Industries.’
The Director-General of DITP stated, “STYLE Bangkok 2025 is organised under the theme ‘The International Trade Fair for Visionary Design, Lifestyle, Fashion, and Experience’, reinforcing its position as a comprehensive and internationally recognised lifestyle and fashion trade fair. This event is a key instrument in DITP’s proactive international trade promotion strategy, providing a global platform for Thai manufacturers, exporters, designers, and SMEs in the lifestyle and fashion industries to showcase their production capabilities, product quality, and creative ingenuity.
STYLE Bangkok serves as a crucial hub where Thai brands can engage in trade negotiations, establish global partnerships, and connect with buyers from around the world. More importantly, it serves as a driving force in expanding Thailand’s lifestyle exports—both in volume and value.” Ms. Sunanta further stated, "The lifestyle and fashion industries are key drivers of Thailand’s economy and play a vital role in advancing the government’s Soft Power promotion strategy. Thai entrepreneurs, manufacturers, exporters, and designers possess exceptional creativity, innovative design capabilities, and international-standard production quality. DITP is committed to positioning Thailand as ASEAN’s leading hub for lifestyle and fashion manufacturing and exports.”
In 2024, Thailand’s lifestyle and fashion exports amounted to USD 9.74 billion, with lifestyle products growing by 6.97% and fashion products increasing by 2.86%. The US market, along with other key international markets, continues to show strong growth potential, reflecting positive momentum for Thailand’s lifestyle and fashion industries globally.
Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, meanwhile stated that: “As a private sector, our organisation, recognises the significance of co-organising STYLE Bangkok 2025, a collaborative effort that brings together the private sector and our extensive business network. This synergy plays a crucial role in empowering Thai businesses in the lifestyle and fashion industries, enabling them to showcase their potential, enhance global competitiveness, and increase export value.
Chairman Sanan added that the trade policies and economic shifts of key export markets such as the US significantly impact Thailand’s lifestyle and fashion industries. The recent US tariff policies on Chinese imports, including the 10% tariff imposed by President Donald Trump resulting in Chinese manufacturers relocating production to Southeast Asia, with Thailand emerging as a key destination. According to China’s Ministry of Commerce, direct Chinese investment in ASEAN’s manufacturing sector reached USD 9.1 billion in 2023, a significant increase from USD 4.5 billion in 2018. This shift has positively impacted Thailand’s manufacturing sector, driving production expansion, creating jobs, and stimulating economic growth.
“For STYLE Bangkok 2025, the Board of Trade of Thailand has actively invited Thai entrepreneurs and businesses to participate as exhibitors, extended invitations to international chamber partners to showcase their products, and encouraged buyers and visitors from provincial and international chambers of commerce in Thailand, along with members of the Thai Chamber of Commerce nationwide, to attend. This collective effort ensures STYLE Bangkok remains a key platform for Thai entrepreneurs to showcase their capabilities, and reinforce Thailand’s global recognition in the lifestyle and fashion industries.” Mr. Sanan concluded.
