DITP and GIT join forces with Chinese e-commerce giants to host live-steamed jewelry sales events at ‘Bangkok Gems’ with first day sales exceeding 400 million baht

 

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), organizers of the 69th Bangkok Gems and JewelrDy Fair, in collaboration with Huatai Jewelry Trading Platform and Taobao & Tmall Group, organized a seminar to disseminate knowledge and develop e-commerce users, including training for those interested in becoming jewelry influencers through live streaming.

 

Moreover, a live-streamed jewelry sales event was held during the 69th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair. On the first day (February 21, 2024), the event attracted more than 130 million online viewers from China, with orders for products from exhibitors at the Bangkok Gems event exceeding 400 million baht.

 

The organizers of the Bangkok Gems expect that this collaboration will enhance trade channels for Thai entrepreneurs and expand market opportunities for Thai gem and jewelry products among consumers in China.
