THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2026 Outperforms on Strong Industry Response, Surpasses THB 3.7 Billion in Trade Value
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, announced the success of THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2026, co-organised with the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse (KM), Germany. The event was held from 11–13 March 2026 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
The show received strong participation from both domestic and international exhibitors and buyers. Over the course of three days, the event generated a total trade value of THB 3,771.70 million, reinforcing Thailand’s position as a leading hub for the HoReCa industry in Asia.
Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, Ministry of Commerce, stated:
“The outcome of THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2026 has been highly impressive, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. This year, the event welcomed a total of 664 exhibiting companies, comprising 270 Thai exhibitors and 394 international exhibitors, across 1,145 booths. The exhibition covered a comprehensive range of products and services for the hotel, restaurant, café, and catering sectors.”
She further added: “In terms of visitors, the event attracted a total of 21,305 attendees over three days, representing a 9.5% increase from the previous edition. This included 18,994 domestic trade visitors and 2,311 international visitors from over 70 countries worldwide. The top five visiting countries were China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. The highest trade value categories at the event included Café & Bar, Kitchen, Bakery & Ice Cream, HoReCa Food, and Furnishing. These figures reflect strong confidence and growing international interest in Thailand’s HoReCa market.”
Dr. Poj Aramwattanaporn, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, highlighted the significance of the event to the HoReCa industry, stating that the tourism and service sectors remain one of the key drivers of Thailand’s economy, contributing to revenue generation, employment, and the enhancement of the country’s global competitiveness.
He noted that the organisation of THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2026 serves as a vital mechanism in strengthening the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs, particularly SMEs, enabling them to further develop products, services, and innovations in alignment with global market demands, while also elevating business standards to an international level in a tangible way.
The event also reflects the continuous progress of Thai entrepreneurs in developing high-quality and innovative products that are competitive on the global stage. This is evidenced by the success of Thai companies securing four awards at the THAIFEX – HOREC Innovation Awards 2026, reaffirming Thailand’s strength in creativity, design, innovation, and sustainable development. It further demonstrates the readiness of the Thai business sector to advance confidently and sustainably into the global marketplace within the context of the modern economy.
Mr. Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director and Regional President APAC, Koelnmesse, added: “THAIFEX – HOREC Asia 2026 saw exhibitor participation increase by 42%, with companies from 35 countries and regions taking part. Strong international presence came from markets such as Italy, the United States, China and Singapore, alongside new country participation including the Netherlands and Sweden. Brazil also made its debut as an organised pavilion, building on previous individual exhibitor presence. This continued expansion in international participation reinforces Southeast Asia’s position as a key market for hospitality investment and a base for companies scaling across the region.
The event also featured a range of key highlights, including THAIFEX – HOREC Xperiential, showcasing HoReCa trends through live professional demonstrations; THAIFEX – HOREC Academy, offering expert-led seminars; and the THAIFEX – HOREC Innovation Awards. Additional highlights included the ASEAN Coffee Roasting Championship, Coffee Appreciation Protocol workshops, and the Thailand Ultimate Housekeeping Challenge.”
The success of this edition reflects the strong collaboration among the three organising bodies: DITP, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Koelnmesse. Together, they continue to deliver a global trade platform that enables Thai entrepreneurs to expand business opportunities, connect with international partners, and elevate Thailand’s HoReCa industry to global standards.
Building on this success, the organisers are preparing to further enhance THAIFEX – HOREC ASIA 2027 to meet growing industry demand. The next edition will be extended to four days and is scheduled to take place from 2–5 March 2027 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok.
