DITP & Board of Trade of Thailand Confident That STYLE Bangkok 2025 Will Propel Growth Across the Entire Lifestyle and Fashion Supply Chain

Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), and Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand, recently held a press conference to announce the upcoming STYLE Bangkok 2025. The event also featured an in-depth discussion on global export trends and industry insights with key representatives from trade associations and co-organising entities, under the title ‘STYLE Bangkok: How International Trade Fair Shapes the Future of Thai Lifestyle & Fashion Industries.’

The press conference, held at the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, welcomed distinguished speakers to share their perspectives on the evolving landscape of Thailand’s lifestyle and fashion industries, including Dr. Nauvarat Songswaddichai, President of the Thai Leathergoods Association and Managing Director of Ring Co., Ltd., and Mr. Amornthep Kachanont, President of Design & Object Association, Founder & Design Director of Amo Arte brand.

During the panel discussion, Director-General Sunanta highlighted the robust export performance of Thailand’s lifestyle and fashion sector in 2024, stating, “Lifestyle and fashion products remain highly sought after by consumers worldwide. Over the past year, Thailand’s exports in this category grew significantly, reaching approximately 9.7 billion US dollars (equivalent to 330 billion Thai baht). These industries play a crucial role in Thailand’s economy and are among the key sectors supported by the government under the Soft Power policy.”

For STYLE Bangkok 2025, scheduled for 2-6 April 2025 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Director-General Sunanta emphasised that the fair serves as a platform for Thai designers and entrepreneurs of all scales, from Micro-SMEs to large enterprises. In addition to showcasing Thai talent, this year’s event will also welcome nearly 70 international exhibitors from ASEAN, China, and Australia, featuring a diverse array of products, including home décor, jewellery, apparel, and more.

“This year, we have set a target of achieving over 1.6 billion baht in trade value and expect more than 25,000 visitors to attend the fair,” stated Ms Sunanta.

Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand, highlighted during the panel discussion that STYLE Bangkok serves as a vital platform for collaboration between the public and private sectors, creating opportunities for Thai designers and SMEs. He noted that with Thailand expecting around 39 million international tourists this year, the fair will not only drive export growth but also benefit from the organic promotion generated by these visitors.

“For this year’s edition, the Board of Trade of Thailand has actively contributed to all aspects of the event, from inviting our members to participate to engaging with both local and international networks. We have worked closely with DITP, and I commend the Ministry of Commerce for its proactive approach. Many of our joint initiatives have already proven highly successful,” said Mr. Sanan.

Dr. Nauvarat Songswaddichai, President of the Thai Leathergoods Association and Managing Director of Ring Co., Ltd., shared insights on how Thailand’s textile and leather industries are evolving to align with global sustainability trends. She highlighted that Thailand possesses strong soft power in dyeing techniques, weaving, and design, which seamlessly blends Thai heritage with modern aesthetics.

“STYLE Bangkok 2025 brings together SMEs and major players in the industry. It’s a space where manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers can connect, discuss, and exchange ideas. It serves as a hub for the entire supply chain, allowing businesses to source materials, discover new products, and establish meaningful trade relationships,” said Dr. Nauvarat.

Mr. Amornthep Kachanont, President of Design & Object Association, Founder & Design Director of Amo Arte brand, further underlined the strength of Thai designers. “Our uniqueness lies in our design approach, meticulous craftsmanship, and techniques that are exclusive to Thailand. We have access to a diverse range of materials that many international buyers find unmatched elsewhere in the world. These elements showcase our rich culture and artisanal excellence.”

He also stressed that STYLE Bangkok is more than just a trade fair—it’s a platform for buyers and visitors to experience Thai design and culture firsthand. “It’s about storytelling—products here tell the story of their origins, design inspirations, and cultural significance.

Buyers don’t just purchase an item; they take home a narrative they can share. This fosters long-term engagement and expands Thailand’s market reach. For exhibitors, the goal is, of course, sales. But beyond that, it's about broadcasting Thai craftsmanship to the world and creating a lasting impression that brings buyers back again and again," concluded Mr. Amornthep.

STYLE Bangkok 2025 will take place from 2 to 6 April 2025 at Hall 1-3, Level G, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok. Trade days will run from 2 to 4 April (10:00-18:00 hrs.), while public days will be open from 5 to 6 April (10:00-21:00 hrs.).
