If you are looking for the delicate wood carving furniture, let’s join our tour and see it for yourself.
Centre of Wood Carving at Saimai-Bangpo (Pracha-Naruemit Road)
The quiet lanes of Pracha-Naruemit were brought to life after Chinese-Thai furniture makers, whose forefathers settled in Thailand’s various woodwork centres, began to migrate to this new Pracha-Naruemit Road. The art of wood carving were brought with them.
Today, there are more than 200 furniture shops and factories, which were built side by side and one after the others for more than a kilometer along Pracha-Naruemit Road. Not surprisingly, the road became known as "Saimai Road or Wooden Furniture Street". It is a Bangkok biggest wooden furniture centre, where you can buy fine wooden crafts, all kinds of furniture and decorative items.
