A. GENERAL QUESTIONS
A1. What is TIFF all about?
TIFF is a Thailand International Furniture Fair. It is held yearly in March by the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, under the Royal Thai Government.

A2. What’s new at the fair this year?
One of the key objectives of  TIFF 2008 is to show potential buyers from within the country and beyond, the unique design and manufacturing capabilities of Thai furniture professionals. Thai furniture products are highly regarded for distinctive styles, superior quality and attention to details, as well as, a vast variety of raw materials to choose from. In addition, Thai furniture designers work hard to add values to their products at all times by introducing innovative ideas and technologies. At this event, these local manufacturers will has a chance to establish trade connections with potential partners and distributors in new markets.

Other highlights include a ‘Design in Thailand’ exhibition, a ‘Furniture Designers Development 2008’ exhibition, a ‘Hotel Qualia’ exhibition on furniture designs from an in-depth research on Thai furniture in Japan, and a ‘Design Circle’ activity where professional furniture designers will meet in person with exporters to discuss and form business partnerships.

A3. How are the zoning divided?
For All furniture part, the zonings include: Home Furniture, Interior Furnishing & Accessories, Machinery & Equipment, Magazines / Trade Publications, Materials & Part, Office Furniture and Others.

A4. When is the fair open?
The fair is held between March 12nd to 16th.  The first three days, March 12nd to 14th, are for trade visitors and held between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  The last two days, March 15th and 16th which fall during a weekend, the fair is open to public and open between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

B. VISITOR’S INFORMATION
B1. Do I need to pre-register to attend as a visitor?
If you plan to attend the fair during trade days, we strongly encourage that you pre-register on our website to avoid long queuing at the fair entrance.  However, walk-in visitors with business identifications can also register right there at the fair.

B2. Who can attend?
 Anyone in furniture, related businesses and relevant industries and their suppliers can attend the fair during trade days, which we do require either pre-registration or registration at the fair with no admission fee. During public days, all are welcome.

B3. Do you have the list of participating exhibitors of TIFF 2008?
List of exhibitors and their company profiles and their products are to be posted on the website : http://www.thaitradefair.com/fairin/tiff08/company_namelist.asp And you may view their company information and products through its virtual trade show in order to pre-appointment and matching.   The listing will become more comprehensive as we approach the fair dates.  Exhibitors and their profiles of the last fair can also viewed under TIFF 2007

B4. How much does it cost to attend the fair?
There is no admission fee to attend the fair, only registration during trade days.  

B5. May I take photographs in the exhibit halls?
Photography & VDO (are) is not allowed at the fair. Only persons with press badge can take photography.

B6. Can we buy goods at the fair?
Sales of items are not allowed during the trade days, when the main focus of the fairs is on business dealing.  However, during public days, exhibitors who are manufacturers may sell samples or inventory goods.  In fact, the fair is quite popular among local residents who look forward to finding export quality goods at rather discount prices.
