Come March 2006, the design, furniture and furnishing industry in Asia will be treated to
a premier event - Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF) 2006/ Interior Design Asia (ida). The Event aims to bring together the best in design, furniture, and production with
a real value-added dimension - smart living ideas that go beyond design.

In line with the theme "It's More Than Design", TIFF 2006 and ida will focus on the creative forces shaping the future of the industry - designs, trends, materials and technology.
The increasing sophistication and consciousness of today's consumers have elevated
the importance of smart, handsome and effectual design concepts, combined with a fitting
use of materials. In other words, design concepts that achieve a fine balance encompassing the dynamics of the living environment, function, ergonomics and convenience.

The Collaboration between Department of Export Promotion (DEP) of Thailand and Koelnmesse GmbH, will bring a whole new refreshing perspective to the design, furniture and furnishings industry in Southeast Asia.

Boosting 250 exhibitors and over 8,000 regional trade buyers, with on-site sales revenue of over US$ 160 million, TIFF, is one of the most influential industry events since it started 10 years ago.

ida, backed by the organizer of imm Cologne, will provide the creativity impetus and consolidate the exchange of ideas from the international sphere of furniture design and interior decoration. Exhibits featured will go beyond furniture design displays, but also textiles, carpets, lighting, accessories and other elements for the home.

This alliance, besides helping to bolster the suite of exhibits and business opportunities on offer, will turn tiff and ida 2006 into the cornerstone ideas and communications forum for the design and furniture manufacturing communities.

In addition, signature works in interior and furniture designs will be on display.
This highlight, from some of the world's most talented designers, will showcase the most
influential concepts and trends, material and production philosophy, and shed light on
the value in meshing design with improved functionality, practicality and aesthetics.
