For the past nine events, the Thailand International Furniture Fair (TIFF), organized by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, received a warm welcome from visitors all over the world. This year, the Department of Export Promotion, Koelnmesse GmbH, Germany, with the full cooperation of the Thai Furniture Industries Association, and the Furniture Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries arranged the Thailand International Furniture Fair 2006 / interior design asia 2006 : TIFF/ida Bangkok 2006 to promote TIFF/ida Bangkok 2006 as an Asia’s Premier showcase for the furniture industry.
TIFF/ida Bangkok 2006, held on March 8th – 12th 2006, had showcased over 1,239 booths by occupying 50,000 square metres. The event presented the furniture’s latest trend and design of home, outdoor and office furniture and related products which made from wood, mainly rubber wood from plantations, metal, leather, fabric, and so on.
Exhibitors
This year, around 279 exporting companies participated in the fair, with 1,239 booths in over 50,000 square metres. About 90% of which were from Thailand, whilst the reminder consisted of exhibitors from Germany, Italy, HK, Malaysia, Australia, China, Singapore

There were about 80,000 visitors on trade days from all over the world.
