Rubber Wood: White Teak for Interior Decor

While the price of teak wood is hiking, rubber wood is a perfect replacement to any solid wood in interior decor. Its beautiful light colored texture can easily be finished in any other stain such as whitewash, cherry, oak, walnut, rosewood, and teak. Rubber wood can create expensive looking furniture under much lower budget.

Rubber wood’s unique qualities:

  • Excellent stability. It is ideal for laminated squares and panels.
  • Excellent machining properties. It has no problem in delaminating.
  • Easy to finish in any color.
  • Ecology-friendly. It takes 7-16 years to grow into a full-fledged seasoned tree while teak or rosewood tree takes 60-70 years.
  • It is up to 40% cheaper than other hardwoods.

Today’s interior designers use rubber wood to create beautiful, solid wood furniture that can be adapted to the taste of each customer at affordable price. It is also often used to make furniture components such as shelves, legs, sides and backs of furniture. Practically, everything which can be made in solid wood. Not surprisingly, rubber wood furniture export from Thailand has progressive role in the world market.

Rubber wood products from various exhibitors will be on display at TIFF/ida 2006 during 8-12 March at IMPACT (Challenger Hall).

Light color rubber wood is friendly to any finish.
