Thai Designs Storm Good Design Awards – ASEAN

Thailand’s furniture has the reputation for its excellent design that takes advantage of local materials and technologies as well as of the life and cultures that form the background of Thai people. This fact has been reconfirmed by the result of Good Design Awards – ASEAN Design Selection 2005, which products from Thailand win 22 out of the total 58 awards.

Good Design Awards - ASEAN Design Selection is an annual event organized by ASEAN Promotion Centre on Trade, Investment and Tourism, and Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization with an objective to honour ground-breaking superior designs in the category of exterior furnishings, tableware and everyday goods, packaged food products, stationary and toys. Nominees were from eight ASEAN countries i.e. Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
