Keen shoppers can look forward to a great shopping fun at the “OTOP Product Trends Exhibition” – an exciting showcase of amazing products developed to international standards to meet world demand.
The exhibition, organized by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, is part of “OTOP to the World 2007”, to be held from April 17 to 22, 2007, at Challenger 1 Hall at Impact, Muang Thong Thani.

“OTOP Product Trends Exhibition” has been created by the DEP’s Office of Product Development for Export and supervised by NellyRodi, a renowned French products development consultancy that has played a key role in setting trends for many world-famous brands.
The exhibition, featuring OTOP products recently developed for European markets, will occupy an area of 180 square meters. Four different trends will be featured separately.
“Newstalgie : Basic and Simple” will feature minimal-styled OTOP products that will bring back memories of Europe’s classic era, using various shades of pastel colors. This trend is favored by those who love easy-to-care luxury items as well as today’s modern woman with a penchant for retro. |

Oriental motifs in gold show the “Ethnoriental : Ethnic and Oriental” trend at its best.

Expected to attract equal interest is “Ethnoriental : Ethnic and Oriental”, which will feature products with their origins in ethnic and Oriental civilizations. Combining various motifs and cultures, and with gold decorative highlights, this trend exudes luxury and femininity – perfect for those who want to escape the boring routine of everyday life and who are in search of inspiration.

“Classe Hicks : Symmetric and Regular” will showcase distinctive merchandise in geometric forms that are especially eye-catching when arranged in groups.
Lastly, “Futurustic : Random and Handmade” will put the spotlight on natural beauty through a fine range of handicrafts and products inspired by nature.
This exciting exhibition will not only please ardent and avid shoppers but will inspire Thai manufacturers to continue developing products that meet international demand. OTOP products selected for display have proven to have satisfied European trends; many already are popular in overseas markets. There is no doubt that this exhibition will not only please visitors, it will keep them abreast with the latest trends.
Organized concurrently with BIG&BIH by the DEP, “OTOP to the World 2007” will present a huge selection of 3-star to 5-star and OTOP Premium products from all over the country, including gifts and decorative items, fashion and jewelry, health and beauty products, as well as food and beverages. A number of appealing activities will be staged to provide knowledge and stimulate interest about the products of local communities, as well as to promote trade negotiations.
