“OTOP to the World 2007”
Ready to Showcase Its Success to World Market

The colorful and highly successful “OTOP to the World 2007” will take place for the seventh consecutive years and is set to generate heightened international interest in locally made goods for flourishing world markets. Being held in the spacious Challenger 1 Hall of IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, from April 17 to 22, 2007, the fair will offer a complete range of quality OTOP (One Tumbon One Products) products.

Organized concurrently with BIG&BIH by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, “OTOP to the World 2007” will present a huge selection of 3-star to 5-star and OTOP premium products from all over the country, including gifts and decorative items, fashion and jewelry, health and beauty products, as well as food and beverages. A number of appealing activities will also be staged to provide knowledge and stimulate interest about local community’s products and promote trade negotiations.

DEP’s Director-General Mr. Rachane Potjanasuntorn revealed: “OTOP to the World plays a key role in strengthening the country’s economy through supporting household businesses and developing desirable Thai products to suit world market demand. The fair has become increasingly successful over the past six years with last year’s fair attracting 87,000 visitors from almost 100 countries around the world.”

A series of activities aimed at educating and inspiring those in attendance will also take place at the fair including an exhibition on OTOP product trends for the European market and a business-matching service that puts overseas buyers in direct contact with Thai manufacturers.

“OTOP to the world 2007” is a prime international occasion for buyers,importers,wholesalers/retailers,
as well as domestic buyers and traders to meet and develop new channels of business on trade days, April 17 to 20, 2007 from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. while public members are welcome to browse and buy daily from 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. on April 21 and 22.
Interested parties are invited to discover colours of diversity and craftsmanship at “OTOP to the World 2007”.
