“OTOP to the World 2007” has registered a greatest success ever, announced the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, thanks largely to its record-breaking attendance figures. Organized in conjunction with “BIG+BIH April 2007, the fair attracted over 100,000 visitors on public days, with buyers and trade representatives from over 50 countries participating during trade days.

DEP Director-General Mr. Rachane Potjanasuntorn revealed: “OTOP to the World is one of Thailand’s most significant annual trade events that has proved to be highly successful over the years. The fair is also instrumental in opening doors for the export of goods from all parts of the country, as well as establishing new overseas markets for Thai manufacturers. The highlight of this year’s fair was the colorful ‘OTOP Product Trends Exhibition’, which showcased innovative OTOP products specifically developed in line with current European trends and which illustrated the high caliber of Thai manufacturers in creating products to satisfy world market demand.”

“OTOP to the World 2007”, held from April 17 to 22 at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, rolled out a huge selection of OTOP Premium products and 3-star to 5-star OTOP products from all over the country,including gifts and decorative items, fashion and jewelry, health and beauty products, as well as food and beverages.
