Health and Beauty Industry Sizzles with Buyers from 67 Countries

Nearly 20,000 local and international visitors from 67 countries turned up at “Thailand Health and Beauty Show 2007”, demonstrating that the global health and beauty industry looks up to Thailand as a key player on the world market.
“Thailand Health and Beauty Show 2007” or “Thailand HBS 2007” organized by the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce from November 7-11, this year at IMPACT, Muang Thong Thani, attracted a total of 4,268 trade visitors, 3,563 of which were Thai traders and buyers, 705 overseas buyers and 244 incoming trade missions. |

The top 10 countries with the highest numbers of trade visitors were Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, China, the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Germany. A large number of trade visitors also came from the UK, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Hungary, Sweden, Australia, the Middle East and Africa. |

“Thailand HBS 2007” featured 601 booths of health and beauty products and services from 317 companies, encompassing a huge range of exhibitor categories such as aromatherapy merchandise, spa products, health and herbal food and beverages, beauty therapy and medical equipment, as well as world-class services offered by leading hospitals, specialist clinics and beauty training institutes. |

Among the highlights of the five-day event were the “Design in Thailand” exhibition featuring the finest international packaging designs for the health and beauty industry and the “Thai Spa” exhibition, charting the history of Thai Spas from the reign of King Rama V right up to today’s contemporary Thai Spa. |

The trade fair has proven to be a success in terms of branding Thai products and services for world consumption, and expanding marketing channel for Thai manufacturers to the global markets, which will result in a significant upswing in exports. |
