Encouraged by the success of last year’s fair, the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, is poised to host the grandest ever education fair, “Thailand International Education Exhibition 2007” (TIEE), which will spotlight the enormous potential and exceptional standards of Thailand’s international education system. Covering kindergarten through to university and post-graduate levels as well as worldwide-accredited curricula, the event is expected to attract great interest from parents and students and offer unrivalled exposure to exhibitors, who are invited to apply for participation now until December 29, 2006.

Director-General of DEP Mr. Rachane Potjanasuntorn revealed; “Thailand International Education Exhibition has developed rapidly, since its inauguration in 2003. The number of exhibitors this year has increased by 1,340 per cent compared to 2004, and 178.7 per cent compared to last year. In line with strong government policy towards establishing Thailand’s position as a regional international education hub, the standard of international education in Thailand has risen to answer the needs of parents and students, who value a broad range of high-end educational options”.

“Besides, the number of foreigners sourcing international education in Thailand has increased steadily, due to their growing confidence in qualified personnel and the worldwide-accredited curriculums now available. TIEE 2007 which will take place from February 2 - 4, 2007 at Queen
Sirikit National Convention Center is expected to generate substantial interest among parents and students.”

TIEE 2007 will feature exhibitions from institutes of all levels, including schools under the Ministry of Education’s English-based curricula, international schools, universities which offer English-based curricula, short English-based courses such as cooking, Muay Thai boxing, beauty, massage and spa, and computer programs, manufacturers and distributors of educational accessories, summer camp programs, education guidance administration bodies and international education tour programs in Thailand.

TIEE 2007 has been organized with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education, Commission of Higher Education, International Schools Association of Thailand, Association of Private Higher Education Institutes of Thailand, Association of Private Schools for English Program, The Association of Thai Software Industry, The Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand and Thai Stationeries and Office Supplies Association. The fair’s main objective is to provide a global stage for parents and students looking for quality international education choices.
