accentuates the capacity of Thai fashion and leather industry
showcasing International Fashion Fair and Bangkok
International Leather Fair 2008 (BIFF & BIL 2008)
during 27-31 August 2008 at Bangkok International
Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC) Bangna.
BIFF & BIL 2008 is regarded as regional foremost sourcing
and networking platform for both local and overseas fashion
trade professionals. The event contributes an intelligent
opportunity to pronounce Thailand’s fashion and leather
business capability in full range service including design,
manufacture and merchandise, in support of the current
business direction that gears towards value added strategy
in every fashion and leather business section for global
competitiveness enhancement. In response to business
communication format, DEP has devised road show activity
to entice domestic and international fashion professionals’
interest and participation. BIFF & BIL 2008 event agenda includes
Fashion Design Zone displays fashion merchandises and
leather goods designed by leading Thai designers as well as
outstanding fresh face designers. The area is efficiently filled
with the following:Designers’ Room 2008
showcases the fashion design works from young and
upcoming designers as classified by experience and
marketability for business negotiation. Now – own brands
40 young blooded designers of less than 8-year experience
Next – own brands 10 designers of more than 8-year
experience who have participated in Department of Export
Promotion’s designer program possessing great success and
nation-wide recognition Design Circle - 15 designer bodies
providing services in
fashion designs and related fields including freelance
designers, industrial designers, international design
professionals and fashion institutes. More unique and special activities to be delivered are: Gear to US showcases product samples developed by US
market fashion experts grouped by buyers’ base to be
categorized as Active Wear, Men’s Wear, Women’s Wear,
and Children’s Wear from 10 manufacturers.
Resort Wear highlights summer wear as well as travel and
resort accessories including Men’s Wear, Women’s Wear,
Children’s Wear, Bathing Suit, Shoes, Bags, and Fashion
Accessories like Sunglasses and Hats on top of resort
amenities and materials.
Trend Forum T3 (Thai Tex Trend) displaying textiles of T3
designed to fit global fashion trend. This shall enhance
product value and strengthen Thai woven
product market competitive.

Above and beyond, BIFF & BIL 2008 is the venue for Asia
Fashion Federation Conference 2008 titled “TODAY ASIAN
FASHION LIFESTYLES” of Asia Fashion Federation that names
5 country members as China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and
Thailand. The conference accommodates 200 participants from the country members significantly presents constructive
information benefits future development of fashion industry
and boost business operation amongst members. In addition,
the conference demonstrates Thailand’s competency as in
the role of Asia’s fashion center. Thus, this raises
