This Association is named " สมาคมอุตสาหกรรมผลิตภัณฑ์ใยสังเคราะห์" It' s name in English is " The Thai Synthetic Fiber Manufacturers' Association"
HISTORY
The Thai Synthetic Fiber Manufacturers' Association was established on February 16, 1976.
The 3 founding members of the association were.
Asia Fiber Co., Ltd.
Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Ltd.
Toray Nylon Thai Co., Ltd.
The first chairman of the association was Mr.Sanit Viravan, President of the Asia Fiber Co., Ltd.,
and current chairman is Mr.Chen Namchaisiri, President of Asia Fiber Public Co., Ltd. At present
we have 18 ordinary members.
OBJECTIVES
To promote and support synthetic fiber industries and related enterprise ;
To support and assist members in solving various problems confronting synthetic fiber industries and related enterprises ;
To conduct research, give advisory service, exchange and disseminate technical and professional knowledge, and business information for the benefit of members and interested persons ;
To cooperate with the government in the promotion and improvement of synthetic fiber industries, supporting small industries, home industries, and to cooperate with the government in the solution of problems not only in production and foriegn trade, but also including other activities as designated by the government ;
To study movements of markets both domestic and foriegn for the benefit of trade and the economy of the country ; and
To promote cooperation, unity, and exchanges of ideas among members, and to consider and meditate commercial disputes and labor relations ;
