What is TAPA all about?
Thailand Auto Parts & Accessories (TAPA) is designed to meet the expansive sourcing needs of the automotive and accessories industry. It is expected to be ASEAN痴 premier sourcing exhibition. ASEAN has many quality auto part and accessories companies and they have been recognized worldwide for their high standards whether in OEM/REM parts, spare parts or accessories. The Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, the Royal Thai Government is keen to work together with other countries in ASEAN to promote this region as the auto parts sourcing hub of the world.

When is the fair opened?
The 4th Thailand Auto Parts & Accessories (TAPA 2010) exhibition is set to be held from April 28 to May 2, 2010 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangna, Bangkok. The first four days, April 28-30, are opened for trade visitors only and open during 10.00-18.00hrs. The last two days, May 1st and 2nd which fall during a weekend, the fair is open to public and open between 10.00-20.00hrs.

What is new at the fair this year?
As a regional automotive manufacturing hub, ASEAN痴 automotive suppliers have the expertise to meet international standards in terms of quality, delivery and cost for both original equipment and replacement markets (OEM/REM). The export-oriented nature of the industry gives it the necessary scale and advantage to be price competitive, while providing the engineering design capabilities to develop automotive parts for global needs. TAPA 2010 will be the best place to source for auto parts and accessories from ASEAN. It will be your one-stop center to source for a variety of automotive parts and accessories.

TAPA 2010 will see about 450 qualified exhibitors across ASEAN displaying their products at more than 10,000 square meters at BITEC, Bangna. More than 16,000 visitors from ASEAN, South Asia, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Africa and Europe are expected to attend the exhibition.

What will be shown at the fair?
Organized by the Department of Export, Ministry of Commerce, the Royal Thai Government Promotion biennially, TAPA 2010 is the most comprehensive, innovative and exciting automotive exposition ever staged in Asia, providing the best global sourcing in the automotive industry, including advanced auto parts. This event provides up-to- date information, new innovation as well as product designs. It brings together Thai and regional manufacturers (OEM/ REM) of vehicles, auto parts, spare parts and accessories to meet buyers from around the world.

How are the zoning divided?
All exhibiting products will be presented as in the following zones:

Do I need to pre-register to attend as a visitor?
If you plan to attend the fair during trade days, we strongly encourage you to pre-register on our website to avoid long queue at the fair entrance. However, walk-in visitors with business identifications can also register directly at the fair.

How much does it cost to attend the fair?
There is no admission fee to attend the fair.

Who can attend?
Anyone in Auto Parts & Accessories industries and related business can attend the fair during trade days. However, it requires either pre-registration or on-site registration with no admission fee. On public days, all interested persons are welcome, no registration required.

Can I take photographs in the exhibit halls?
Neither photograph nor Video taking is allowed at the fair. Only persons with press badge can take photograph.

Can we buy goods at the fair?
Sales of items are not allowed during the trade days which are reserved for business deals only. However, exhibitors may sell samples or inventory goods during public days.

Do you have the list of participating exhibitors of TAPA 2010?
List of exhibitors and their products profiles are available on the fair official website; http://www.thaitradefair.com/TAPA/Exhibitor.aspx/AllExhibitorList#top. You may view the exhibiting companies and their products information through this virtual trade show on internet in order to make pre-appointment for business talks. The listing will be more comprehensive when the fair is approaching.

Who are visitors?
Multi-national buyers, importers, manufacturers, traders, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, sale agents, department stores and retail outlets are targeted visitors. This year, we expect around 6,000 on trade days and 10,000 on public days. Among those, foreign visitors will be mainly from ASEAN, South Asia, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Africa and Europe.

Can overseas manufacturers exhibit at TAPA?
Yes, overseas exhibitors are welcome to participate in the fair. Please download the application form at http://www.thaitradefair.com/TAPA/Home.aspx/AppForm#top and submit it to DEP, along with the payment and required information.

How much does it cost to exhibit at the fair?
For overseas exhibitors, the participating fee for a raw space of 3m.x3m. (at least 2 units) is US$ 1,200 per unit and raw space with standard booth package is US$ 1,400 per unit. Exhibitors will get FREE one page advertisement in TAPA Fair Directory and free online promotion on the fair痴 website.
