


1. What is BIG&BIH all about?
BIG+BIH is an international trade show in gifts, household products and finely designed lifestyle goods. The dual fair is held bi-yearly in April and October by the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce.
One of the key objectives of BIG+BIH April is to show potential buyers from within the country and beyond, the unique design and manufacturing capabilities of Thai professionals. Thai lifestyle products are highly regarded for distinctive styles, superior quality and attention to details, as well as, a vast variety of raw materials to choose from. In addition, Thai designers work hard to add values to their products at all times by introducing innovative ideas and technologies. At this event, these local manufacturers will has a chance to establish trade connections with potential partners and distributors in new markets.
2. When is the fair opened?
The fair is held on April 20-25, 2010 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in the Bang Na district, Bangkok, Thailand. The first four days, April 20-23, are opened for trade visitors only and open during 10.00-18.00hrs. The last two days, April 24th and 25th which fall during a weekend, the fair is open to public and open between 10.00-21.00hrs.
3. What is new at the fair this year?
A new year unfolds a new path for the Bangkok International Gift + Bangkok International Houseware (BIG+BIH) artistically and logistically. 2010 sees the dual fair begin a new chapter with a new theme at a new location. Paying homage to their roots, BIG+BIH present Soul & Style of the Orient.
Furthermore, the designs this year echo the Asian themes with contemporary flavors. Highlighting the unique character of the Eastern philosophy in art, world-renowned craftsmanship and the use of local materials, goods on display at both fairs exude true soul and style of the Orient.
4. What will be shown at the fair?
BIG Fair:
Pure Pleasure -The area features unique and exquisite goods such as glassware, ceramics, pewter, metalware, paintings, lacquerware, mirror frames to garden accessories. Pure Pleasure also offers a variety of gifts and premium products with style and substance.
Pure Earth -Pure Earth also displays the nonpareil beauty of artificial flowers and plants of diverse materials.
Fun and Favorites -An extensive collection of Christmas decorative items, gift wrapping accessories and greeting cards are ready for your selection. Good quality of toys, game, stationary and office supplies are also exhibited in this area. Life Styling - Patterned home textiles and fabric decorative items such as bedspread, carpets and wall and window coverings will be exhibited in this area.
BIH Fair:
Heart and Home -A comprehensive range of household products, tableware and kitchenware of diverse materials from metal, ceramic, glass, melamine, pewter, plastic and wood will be on show.

6. Do I need to pre-register to attend as a visitor?
If you plan to attend the fair during trade days, we strongly encourage you to pre-register on our website to avoid long queue at the fair entrance. However, walk-in visitors with business identifications can also register directly at the fair.
7. How much does it cost to attend the fair?
There is no admission fee to attend the fair.
8. Who can attend?
Anyone in gifts, premiums, home decoration, housewares industries and related business can attend the fair during trade days. However, it requires either pre-registration or on-site registration with no admission fee. On public days, all interested persons are welcome, no registration required.
9. Can I take photographs in the exhibit halls?
Neither photograph nor Video taking is allowed at the fair. Only persons with press badge can take photograph.
10. Can we buy goods at the fair?
Sales of items are not allowed during the trade days which are reserved for business deals only. However, exhibitors may sell samples or inventory goods during public days.
11. Do you have the list of participating exhibitors of BIG+BIH April 2010?

You may view the exhibiting companies and their products information through this virtual trade show on internet in order to make pre-appointment for business talks. The listing will be more comprehensive when the fair is approaching.
12. Who are visitors?
Multi-national buyers, importers, manufacturers, traders, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, sale agents, department stores and retail outlets are targeted visitors. This year, we expect around 91,000 visitors to attend this six-days-long event. Among those, foreign visitors will be mainly from U.S.A, Japan, ASEAN countries, and the EU.
13. Can overseas manufacturers exhibit at BIG&BIH?
Yes, overseas exhibitors are welcome to participate in the fair. Please download the application form at http://www.bigandbih.com/exhibitor_application_form.aspx and submit it to DEP, along with the payment and required information.
14. How much does it cost to exhibit at the fair?
For overseas exhibitors, the participating fee for a raw space of 9 sq.m. (3x3m) is US$ 2,000. Exhibitors will get FREE one page advertisement in BIG+BIH Fair Directory and free online promotion on the fair’s website.
